Home-made Paint Booth

Q. I am getting ready to paint my Model A in my above ground wood shed. I was planning on taking a strip out the floor as to create the down draft booth effect. I have an old seiling fan to create the airflow. My question is should I put the fan on the intake side and blow the air through or put the fan on the exaust side and pull the air throughor do i need a fan on both ends. Any help is appreciated.

A. Sorry, but I do not give any advice on homemade spray booths. A spray booth MUST meet the requirements of NFPA 33 because if you fail to follow all the recommendation there is a significant risk of explosion or fire. For a small fee you can download NFPA 33 from the National Fire Protection Association website.

Ron Joseph
