Paint for Aluminum Greenhouse

Q. I was wondering what type of paint to use to paint an aluminum greenhouse and what prep work is necessary? Thanks.

A. The preparation for the aluminum would be to first clean the surface, then as soon as possible, apply a thin coating of 2 component acid etch primer. Do this while carefully following the directions of the supplier. Within 24 hours, apply one or two coats of your choice of top coat paint.

Best regards,

Tom Burke
