Federal Standard - (Fed. Std.) 595a #26586 Color Matching

Q. What color is #26586. Is there a number for Sherwin Williams paint that matches?

A. Fed. Std. 595a color #26586 is a pastel olive, almost like a pastel grayish-olive. Any paint company should be able to mix a color to match this. Generally, most companies do not carry stock of all the Fed. Std. colors, but they can easily be matched using conventional tinting pastes. I wouldn't be surprised if one of Sherwin-Williams' standard household colors is close to #26586, but you would need to check for yourself. Finally, if S-W doesn't want to match the color, then try a small paint company that specializes in small quantity orders.
