Oil Spot Removal on Concrete Driveways

Q. What chemical can I use that will removal oil spots from concrete driveways? I was told that trisodiumphosphate (TSP) would help.

A. The choice of TSP for cleaning you drive way is a good one. Use a strog solution in warm water, it will draw the oil from the concrete.

The chemical is more effective if used with a high pressure water jet. It may take several applications for best results.

Another option for removal of an oil stain would be to shop for a specialty product at your local hardware store. They have a complete line of products to remove oil and grease.

Best regards,

Tom Burke
