Reparing Areas Where ED Coatings Don't Take

Q. I have a question about ED coating in a paint shop. Sometimes we pass a car from ED tank and unfortunetaly some sections don't take the ED solution. What can I do to coat section without ED?

A. Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, without actually seeing the problem and especially seeing your ED tank I cannot really tell you what to do to solve the problem. You can certainly prime, basecoat and clearcoat the areas on which ED doesn't take, but I cannot tell you that these repair sections will give you the same long term results as those areas that have ED.

If this is a big problem you might want to have a consultant visit your facility to advise you. I am a consultant, but I am located in California.

Best wishes,

Ron Joseph
