Finger Printing Through Powder Coating

Q. I have a client that is experiencing finger printing on a black high bred epoxy powder finish used on metal furniture. What is the supplier doing wrong? His liquid black does not do it?

A. You might need to review your client's surface prep, since this might be the root cause of the problem. Just because his liquid black coating does not show up finger printing does not point to faulty powder. Issues such as, but not limited to surface tension between the substrate and the coating need to be addressed.
