Using Imron for Engine Blocks

Q: We're building some very high-end show cars -- and will be grinding the engine blocks fairly smooth.  In the past we've used Imron to coat engine blocks - was wondering if there are better products to use today?  Any advice - or links to paint suppliers who have good tech support would be great!  Thanks!

A:  DuPont Imron (an acrylic polyurethane) is still an excellent coating for your intended purpose.  If you had success with Imron in the past, there should be no reason to change away from it now.

Best wishes,

Ron Joseph
