Preventing Galvanic Corrosion at Dissimilar Metal Surfaces

Q. Our contractor will be attaching aluminum tract to steel plates with welded stainless steel studs. He wants to paint the steel with an aluminum oxide paint. Will this paint assist in corrosion resistance that may be caused by "dissimilar metals"?

I am not familiar with the aluminum oxide paint. However we do agree that a corrosion resistant primer such as an inorganic, or organic zinc rich, or zinc chromate primer or other corrosion resistant primer should be applied to the masting surfaces of the dissimilar metals.
