Powder Coating for Steel Coil

Q. Are you aware of any powder coatings that are being used in coil coating operations. In particular, I need to coat steel coil with about 0.70 mil and pass a 0 T bend test. The metal has to be bent 180 degrees and the coating must adhere.

A. Off-hand I'm not aware of powder coatings for coil coating operations, although I do believe that they exist. Have you looked into the new UV curable powders which cure in seconds? I saw them demonstrated at the recent Powder Coating show in Indianapolis.
