CARC Coatings

Q. I am trying to obtain as much information about the process of spraying CARC paint as I can. Surfing the internet, I have ran into items stating that it isn't any different than spraying other paints. Is this true? I need to know if their are special environmental issues or air requlatory devices needed to spray this paint. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

A. It is true that CARC is generally no different to use than other coatings. It might be marginally more abrasive to the spray gun than other coatings, but that only affects the longevity of the spray gun orifice. In other words, you might need to replace the orifice more frequently than before. The spraying technique is more critical, because this lusterless coating tends to show overlaps much more easly than higher gloss coatings.

CARC coatings are available that meet environmental regulations.
