Q. I was planning on shooting a coat of epoxy primer and then a coat of light blue flat urethane followed by a dark blue flat pearl and lightly sanding through the top coat in places to expose the lighter blue to get a multi-layered rat rod look, are these paint and primer compatable?

A. Yes, in general you can apply polyurethane topcoats over other polyurethane topcoats and epoxy primers.
