Spray Booth Problems

Q. Currently we have a spray painting booth with conveyor system. The air flow pattern is not vertically downward, so we desided to modify it. There is a problems on rainy days: white patches appear in the painted areas. Aare there any humidity and temperature levels above which we should suspend our operation?

A. Without more details about your spray booth I can only speculate. Many people paint on rainy and humid days, and so I don't exactly know why you are getting white patches in your paint. Have you checked that the compressed air to your spray gun is dry? Do you have a drier on your compressor? If you want the air in your spray booth to be less humid you will need to add a dehumidifier to the air supply, but that can be very expensive.
