Painting Thickness

Q: Could you please tell what is the min/max tolerance applied on the specified film thickness? is there any standard specifying the same or industy practice?

A: Each paint has its own tolerances and usually the paint vendor states the tolerance on its technical data sheet. There is no single universal standard on film thickness; however, for specific types of paint, such as MIL-spec paints, the individual specifications might state the min/max range.
