Blisters in Vinyl Film - Decals

Q. Do you have any technical data related to blisters caused by outgassing under a vinyl graphics that has been applied to vehicles/equipment. I have come accross this issue several times but do not have any data from a paint expert.

A. We have done some work in this area for a company that makes signs. I assume that you are applying the vinyl soon after the paint has been applied? It is probably due to solvent entrappment in the paint under the vinyl, but if this is a major problem for you and if you need professional help to resolve it we can assist you in this matter.

Best wishes,

Ron Joseph
