VOC Regulations

Q. I have heard from manufacturers about new rules for V.O.C.s in gym finish. One of my biggest customers needs to see the ruling. Who is it written by and who is regulating?

There are regulations on low VOC coatings, but not specifically for gym finishes. It sounds as if the regulation you are referring to is for a wooden floor in which case the regulation probably applies to architectural coatings. Not every state has such a regulation and you should check with your local state air pollution agency.

If you state does have such a regulation, you will probably find it on the state's website. Also the EPA has a regulation on such coatings.
