Painting Aircraft (Airplane)

Q. I am currently purchasing an airplane which is to be painted after a sanded stripping of the current finish. We settled on colors and the paints are all Dupont paints, K9740, L6091, and LY1G/Y8. I had requested Imron and wished to clarify whether or not I made a good choice in paint for the plane. Is there something better?

A. Imron is a two component acrylic polyurethane and is very well suited to high visibility, exterior exposure. It is one of the most popular coatings used for painting cars in the automotive refinishing industry.
